Services

Pre-production

  • Workflow planning

Keeping postproduction on track while delivering high quality content in modern film and TV production is a hard task. With a rising number of people involved and many processes of post-production intertwining with each other, a good post-production workflow is a key for meeting deadlines while keeping quality and work environment in check.

Postproduction starts in pre-production, and with a help of post-production supervisor producers and directors can easily estimate and define:

    • size and cost of media space needed for source media backup
    • dailies and proxies pipeline
    • post-production timeline
    • processes needed to meet delivery requirements
    • and many more…

Choosing the right camera codec, color management pipeline, services for video file transfers and many more technical aspects of filmmaking can be our task to analyze and present to you the best option for your production. Every film and TV production is unique, so as our approach for helping the creative team make the most out of it.

By creating a post production workflow for your production ahead of time, production can save money, speed up the process and create a better environment for artists to create amazing art.

  • Look Creation

With many camera and lens options on the market, choosing the right filmmaking tools is a key for telling aspiring stories. Not every camera is for every project, and choosing the right one doesn't have to be calculated guess or preference.

We can help camera departments test various cameras and lens sets, determine real-world camera dynamic range, lens distortions and other visual anomalies, and create looks to be used in production for viewing your footage while shooting.

By creating custom LUTs and presets based on DOPs and directors input, you can view your footage as close as possible to the final image during the shooting and post.

  • Storyboard / Previs

Shooting board is one of the main documents in every production, making it a key visual communication tool between various departments. In modern film and TV production shots get more and more complex, and one of the best ways for finding potential problems and solving them early in the process is creating storyboard / previsualisation.

By creating 2D / 3D visualization of shots/sequences, filmmakers can pitch their ambitious ideas to the producer, crew or client more easily and save money in the shooting stage of the production.

We offer both 2D / 3D storyboard creation, with option for creating previz from 3D storyboard.

Production

  • DIT / Dailies

Getting source footage from set to the rest of the pipeline safely and quickly while making necessary color and sound corrections for dailies distribution became a must have in modern production. Redundant storage and fast processing time is key to making that happen, so as a skilled DIT / Data wrangler.

Our portable lightweight DIT setup is modular, based on the newest Apple ecosystem with speed and reliability in mind.

    Technical specifications (Basic set):

    • Macbook Pro M1 Pro system
    • Redundant SSD array (up to 4TB)
    • Redundant Hard disk drive array (up to 20TB)
    • Battery autonomy of over 12+ hours
    • Small footprint - around 1 m2 for whole setup
    • Splash proof transportation cases
    • Silverstack Lab software

We can expand and adapt our system with Flanders reference monitors, Davinci Resolve Panel, Livegrade Studio and video village distribution system.

Our DIT setup combined with Silverstack Lab software meets Netflix Originals production requirements.

  • Media management

Storing and distributing a large number of video and audio files during production and postproduction is an incredibly sensitive and responsible task. With safety and accessibility in mind, we developed, tested and implemented our workflow in multiple film and TV productions.

    • 3-2-1 backup principle (three locations, two media types, one off-site location)
    • MDA5 checksum reports (.mhl file report)
    • Expendable local and cloud storage arrays
    • Cloud access ready (Zero knowledge AES 256 encryption)
    • Dailies distribution with access control

Our servers are equipped with enterprise grade HDDs and SSDs, with redundant power supplies and 24h surveillance system.

  • On-set VFX supervision

Given the quantity of visual effects shots and the complexity incorporated in the production of visual effects, every good VFX shot starts in the shooting process (or even before that). Planning and shooting a VFX shot is a task in which a cooperation between multiple departments and the visual effects department is needed in order to seamlessly integrate CGI elements into camera footage.

We offer on-set VFX supervision services, with the goal of achieving highest possible shot quality while keeping in mind technical and creative challenges that might arise in the process of VFX creation.

    • Green/blue screen shot supervision
    • Set extension supervision
    • 3D Camera tracking setup supervision
    • HDRI and lightmap capture
    • Reference photogrammetry capture

Post-production

  • VFX

In today's age, there is no film without VFX, no matter how big or small the production is. Visual effects can show off mind-bending animations and CGI creations that are unimaginable and can take viewers to new worlds, or can be used in an invisible way in order to support and enhance visual storytelling.

No matter the use case, we can be your partner on a VFX journey. With a wide variety of services, we help you create better visuals and increase production value of your film.

    • 2D / 3D Tracking
    • Rotoscoping
    • Modeling / Lighting / Shading / Rendering
    • 2D / 3D compositing

Our pipeline is versatile and created with quality and efficiency in mind. Main softwares of our choice are Adobe After Effects and Blender, with ACES ready color managed pipeline.

We can also be part of your pre production and production team, thru our On-set VFX supervision service.

  • Color grading

By using color grading, you can convey mood and emotion to your audience and pull them into the world that you strive to create. Using color grading the right way can push the work of all visual departments to the next level, and help it become one visually coherent unity.

We offer color grading and color correction services, which in combination with our Look development service develops visual look from the very beginning of the production.

Our workflow is 2K / 4K SDR ready, with support for Rec 709 and DCI-P3 color spaces.

  • Graphics / Titles

Setting the mood for the film you are about to watch is one of the opening sequence's main purposes. Even if you had no prior knowledge of the film—and whether you are viewing it on a TV in your living room or in a movie theater—you can already determine the genre and pacing of the film or TV show by watching the first few seconds of the opening title sequence.

We can offer productions design and creation of:

    • Opening titles
    • Closing titles
    • Additional graphic elements

By using typography, imagery and best-suited animation techniques we want to create memorable titles that reflect film or TV show's visual style, based on brief provided by the creative team.

  • Finishing / Delivery

The finishing stage, or online editing, is a process of connecting low-resolution files (Proxy files) to the original, high-quality footage. Also, at this point, the film's color correction, visual effects, final titles, and audio are added. It is a last step in a post production, and it is more than often a time-limited and stressful process.

Managing hundreds or thousands of video and audio files coming into the finishing stage while making sure that everything is the latest approved version is a process with no room for error. With a vast understanding of cinema, television and streaming technical standards, we can deliver files that are ready for screens of any kind.

    • DCP creation (2K / 4K Stereo or 5.1 mix, captions, encrypted, with versioning support)
    • IMF creation (2K / 4K Stereo or 5.1 mix, captions)
    • TV and online distribution file creation (.MOV, .MP4, .MFX, Stereo / 5.1, captions)
    • DCDM creation (16 bit TIFF, multichannel 48Khz 24-bit audio, caption files)

Archiving footage, delivery files and master files ( LTT media, hard disk drives, cloud storage)

Archiving your footage and master files in adequate format is key for future-proofing your film or TV show. New distribution opportunities can arise in the future, and the process of redoing master files later is much more expensive and time consuming compared to doing the archiving the right way at the end of post production.
